On the premise that there is a god, then earth equates to where you are right now along with all the hurt and pain associated with it. Heaven equates to a promise of greener grass and is used as a carrot to direct believers.

The question is flawed...there is no God.

When life gets me down, I try to think like this:

If I get through this s***hole being a nice person I can go to heaven. God wouldnt have created the earth to be nice because why would you want to go to heaven then and do the necessary. It wouldnt have been wort it for you.

When I hear the claim that god has created the earth
I can't help but thinking- what are we the center of the universe!?

We aren't even the center of the galaxy, we lie far from it- in the random outskirts of a spiral arm, created by density waves caused by the galaxies orbit.

Our galaxy has billions of stars (of which many of them have their own solar systems)
And several small and irregular satellite galaxies, known as the local group.

Our neighbor is a galaxy 50% larger than our own, known as Andromeda
and a galaxy in billions.

The ancient universe (time god was invented) was one where Earth was the center of it (hence), and consisted of only what could be seen from the sky.

Given our knowledge now, the god myth seems highly illogical.

Things that god/s used to explain, can now be explained through science.

But now, god's forming the fundamental elements of our universe?

What is it that god will do next!?
