Is there a way to cure my father?

Dear lokerzo, We at FunAdvice are deeply sorry to hear about your father’s condition. You will all be in out thoughts. Is your father in the hospital or at home? Either way he probably needs his pain meds increased. Usually they try to find a balance so that he isn’t in pain. I would speak with the doctor about this. He is in his final stages and I’m sure they have given you the approximate amount of time he has left. I have been through a similar thing with my father in law. What we found he enjoyed when we set up a screen and played family movies. You can do similar with taking pictures of your family’s home, the family children at play etc. and put them on a cd or dvd and play it for him on the TV. It may make him feel he is still part of the family and is still involved. We spent time reading the daily news paper to him and played soft music in the background. I’m sorry to say he will probably never be cured and there is no magic potion for this. All what you hear about on TV and internet is false or everyone would be cured of cancer and your doctor would have given it to him already. So take the time you have left with him and make him a part of your life as much as you can, don’t make his last days depressing and sorrow filled. You will always be glad you shared smiles and laughs with him until the end. Unfortunately we all die but what is terrible is that we never know when that will be. We all hope to learn from this.
