Dear pritz,
The cabbage soup diet is very out dated. It did not offer enough nutrition. Like many other fads they been proven to be dangerous and have no value. Yes, if you restrict your calories you initially loose water and then you begin to loose muscle mass. The body thinks you are going into starvation mode and then will refuse to burn calories.
Sue...good luck

There are no good diets. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is by eating healthily and exercising regularly.

Oh gosh, why would you want to go on a some fad diet knowing that you will put the weight back on?? The only way is to change your eating habits, eat healthy, cut down on the junk & sweets and exercise. It's the only way to lose and keep the weight off. Fad diets don't work, you fill miserable while dieting and even worse when you put the weight back on.
