Why would my mom invite my boyfriend camping?

I have been with my 'sweetie' lets call him that ...for almost 5 months now......one day well my sweetie was over having supper with me and my family my mom...My mom started to talk about camping and that is when she said she thought it would be fun for him to come with us one weekend...I don't get it ...why does she want him to come with us? It is just going to make us be together more and want to in the future? What do you think she is trying to do? ...I don't understand?

She obviously likes you boyfriend, and she senses that you are happy with him.
&& she evidently trusts him enough to come along.

maybe your mom is telling you that she is there for you and is ok with you guys as 'friends'

I think that your mom is trying to get to know him better but at the same time hurt your relationship by spending time with him.... but I dont know thats just a gess

I'm sure she is simply trying to learn more about him. She obviously sees you care for him (since most beginning relationships only last a month at last) and wants to make an effort to show she supports you. She is also your mom, lol, and my mom always wants to know if my current boyfriend 'is the right one for me' but don't stress it too much. I'm sure she loves you and is letting you know she approves of your sweetie.
