I just broke my toe! help!

I was chasing my ferret who was going through a fence. I was barefoot and smashed my foot into a rock. My whole baby toe is going in the other direction. I am on my blackberry right now in the ER trying to ignore the pain. It is the worst pain I ever...

felt and I went through childbirth. What do the doo when you break a toe and how bad does it hurt when the doctor comes? I have never broke a bone and I am already in horrid pain. Does anyone know the healing time?

You sound exactly like I did a few months back when I hurt my finger.I KNOW the pain you are feeling and although I didn't broke a toe I know that it should take six weeks to heal.Mine took about two month and it's a little sensitive til this day.
The excruciating pain that you're in should ease in about a week with medication.Although it really makes you sleepy.
Try soaking your feet in a pan filled with ice and water while you are waiting for the medicine to work.It help a little bit.

u need to sit down a lot dont walk on it but ice on it

ummm they break it back in place... that is what they did with my ring finger. it was brake and they snapped it the other way and put a splint on it

unfortunately there is nothing they can or will do for a broken toe..ice it to help the swelling and pain and take asprin or a pain medicine.

I broke my little toe before, the doctor x-rayed it to confirm, he told be the only thing that can be done is to buddy wrap -wrap it next to the other toe. You have to get some gauze and tape, and wrap it in with the toe next to it, and do that every day for while (I forgot how long).

nothing ya can do... but cry.. I broke mine its still crocked it hurt so bad I stubbed my toe on the doorjam owie hurt so bad I couldnt cry lmmfao

Husband just broke his second toe from the right ..on the right foot.Half his foot and his toe is a blue black color and is swollen too. Should I buddy wrap it or just stay away from it? I have been giving him alieve and icing it for 15 minutes every hour and he's keeping it elevated as much as possible.Crutches when he's up and about. Is there anything else I can do for him???
