Why do i feel like the rape was my fault?

why do I feel it is my fault I was raped by my boy freind? I mean im only 14 what did I do to give him the impulse of that I wanted sex? I had very little make up on my skirt was knee length and I dont know why did he do it?

oh my god you poor girl. You could have been wearing a ton of make-up and a skirt 2 mm long and he'd still have no right to do what he done. have you reported it or are you thinking about it?

being raped isn't necessarily something you bring on.. some sick pervert just does it.

it's not your fault, but in most cases girls think that it is there fault because they feel that they could have done more to stop it, but sometimes when someone is being raped their mind shuts down to block what is happening.
it is not your fault, will never be your fault.
you need to report that you got raped as soon as possible. even if he was your boyfriend. he should know better than that and is a sick guy for doing that.

1. You can report the rape and tell your parents, teacher or relative or phone child line

2. You can ignore the fact that this guy used you and did not consider you or the harm he may have caused you and say nothing at all and let him get away with it

You are not on your own and your not the first girl this has happened to it is quite common. All the girls who have gone through this kind of trauma blames their selves at some stage.
No matter what you choose to do you will get through it in the end

it is normal to feel its yur fault because I was molested for 7 years and I am 14 and I also had an attempted rape against me and wenever I think about it I think its my fault so yur not alone and sum ways to cope with the feeling is to talk about it with sum one yu trust. hope this helped

I dont know... I've talked to people who were raped, and I've had my own issues... I've been in therapy for 2 years, and I still think its my fault. I dont know how to make you feel better, but it is pretty common to feel responsible (maybe if you're responsible then you're in control and if you're in control it wont happen again?). But whatever the reason, it wasnt your fault. You need to try and believe that... because even if you're naked and in bed, no still means no...
