well im native american/alaskan native, and we respect the animals so much, we use everything, feathers, fur, bones, Everything, but I get so pissed to see people come and just kill them to use their antlers on a trophy. Hunting should be for substinance, not enjoyment.

I think that hunting for trophies is horrible! Killing is not a sport. I think that if you use everything off the animal, and make sure the kill is as quick and painless as possible, that's ok, as long as you really need the animal. I mean, you shouldn't just hunt so you can have meat every single day. That's wrong.

so what exactly did animals do before humans went around killing them? I think the animal kingdom is quite able to balance itself out without the interference of humans...

Deer (venison) is tasty...however, hunting is only OK if you're making sure that there are still plenty of that animal type available in the ecosystem.

As long as you are responsible in your actions it is alright. To say that hunting for food is cruel and evil is simply ignorance. Where do you think processed foods in the grocery store come from? What about leather and other animal products.

As long as you still help to maintain a balanced ecosystem and not effect the species as a whole, hunting is alright. Like most things, it's all about responsibility and moderation.

as a vegetarian, I do not eat meat.
as an animal rights activist, I do not believe in killing animals for sport.
but if animal MUST be killed, I would rather have it done by a hunter (for food, not trophy) than at the hands of the factory farmers who torture the animals for their entire lives and then kill them in a cruel manner.
