Maybe you could try a 'teething ring'. lol
Sorry Lex; I couldn't resist.
Does eating ice cream help?
Hi Lex,
We have something here in Britain called Bonjella.
It is a gel generally used to sooth mouth ulcers and it numbs the area you put it on.
I suspect you can but this or similar in the States.
Thanks kiasu- I'm in Dublin, I can get bonjella!
Ice? They give them to teething babies?
I think cupcakes straight from the freezer would be quite soothin Lex...
oragel hon. it's the gel that numbs the gums. also, you can get teething tablets (babies use them). I assume they would help a little. also, make sure you're keeping them clean back there---I know it's gross, but swish with warm salt water. and, you can swish with benedril (don't swallow). it will numb you a little bit. try that.
also...see if chewing gum helps.
do not chew on ice. you could chew on a really cold, wet paper towel or washcloth.
good luck!

How to stop the pain of wisdom teeth coming through?
Send me Fun Mail
My wisdom teeth are growing in, and have been doing so for quite some time. There's nothing wrong with them, my dentist says they don't need pulling out or anything, and they'll grow in fine. The only problem is they HURT! They don't hurt all the time, just once in a while, like for a week every 2 months or so, when they start coming through the gums. What are some good ways of stopping or lessening the pain? Any ideas?
