How to speed up martial arts attacks?

Shovels, the spawn of distasteful intent. Asked by shovels about 1 year ago, 3 answers.

Here's my little conundrum if I managed to spell it right which I most likely did not. I'm some-what a martial artist with no one teaching me, very little space and no weights to use. I need to speed up my strikes. What's a good way to do so other than...

just using those attacks repeatedly until they get faster?

Practise mate, years of practise. I've studied martial arts for 20 years or so, and everything I've learned has become better through regular training. There is no quick fix. Having an instructor also plays a large part, otherwise you have no-one to guide your progress, you may muscle learn mistakes and not even know it.
