How to play softball?

I need helpp ,,,how do you play softball?
I have to learn before marchhh...
any tips to be a good player anything will help!

Well, there are 9 players on the field for the defence at once (the people fielding and catching the ball) and there is one player batting at a time. Basically someone pitches a ball, someone fields it and tries to get them out by either throwing to a base to get them out by force (step on the base) or tags them. You could also catch the ball and then they would be out. This happens until 3 outs have occurred and then you switch sides (the defence to offence and vise versa) and go for another 3 outs. Once 6 outs are up (3 for each team) the inning is over. Hope I helped
