Hi,

I think you just need to moisturize and find the right foundation.

Make sure your skin is moisturized using some sort of lotion before bed, that way the skin won't be dry and flaky when you apply your foundation. Achieving the proper balance of moisture in your skin will make sure you're not dry/flaky but also not oily as well.

Spending money on a decent foundation is also helpful. Try to steer clear of the cheap stuff, it often does little to help the moisture balance.

moisturize your face before you put on foundation, or even add a drop of lotion to your foundation on a sponge and apply them together.. moisturizing before hand works better for me. use a powder for to hide oily spots. nose, forehead and chin are usually the worse. dont use thick make-up on your eyes either. or face for that matter, too much can cause cakeiness.

It's hard to advise having not seen your face firsthand.

You said your skin is oily in some places and dry in others. What you have is combination skin. So go to the store and purchase Withchazel (easily found at Walgreens and Sally's), a good foaming face cleanser, and cotton balls. Wash your face in the shower with the face cleanser every day. Shower works best because you can let the water run on your face to really remove dirt, oils and cleanser. Scrub your face (gently, though) to slough off the dead skin and to remove excess oil. When you get out of the shower, use the witchhazel on a cotton ball all over your face. Witchazel is a great toner to even out oily spots and to keep moisture in dry spots and even out your skin tone.

I don't recommend or use foundation make up--I find them to be heavy and unappealing and just plain gross. This is my opinion, I realize . Plus, they'll really make your oily spots even more oily, and your dry spots even more noticeable and flaky.

When you are done cleansing and using the witchazel, add a drop of baby oil onto your fingers and spread across the dry parts of your face only.

Use a light blush and some lip gloss to add shine and depth to your face. This all mixed with the baby oil on the dry spots will add a freshfaced shine to your face that I'm sure you'll love!

exfoliate. if you have dry skin.. dont use such harsh soap. when you wash your face, when its wet JUST wet right after you washed it. get a face clot warm watter and rub your face with it. DONT DO IT TOO MUCH after you do that, put on NON OILY cream, a little. not a lot! and througout the day wipe the oil with a kleenex. if you have pimples.. Randomly wash your face and re apply your makeup lemme know if it works! also dont wash your face TOO MUCH .itl become really dry and flakey
