For a gun? I don't think silencers are legal...the only reason you'd need it to be silent is if you didn't want anyone to hear the shot. And if that's a concern, you shouldn't be shooting.

I think shooting a dog is not a good training method.
This will make it difficult the dog to learn other tricks later.
Like playing dead.

silencers are NOT illegal is most states. You can usually buy one thru any licenced gun dealer, but you will have to pay a high federal tax on it. I just bought a suppressed/silencer for my walther p22, and paid $600 (200 for the silencer, 400 for the federal tax). Or you can do what I did for a couple years, and crumple up toilet paper and stuff it into a 2 liter bottle. Then cut a one inch hole on the other end, where the bullet will exit the bottle. Or just use a pillow.

The blueprints are already available on the net for those of use bright enough to locate information on our own. If you arent intelligent enough to find the information, you should probably consider a different project.

its not hard to make one but its your a** if the atf find out you can get what you need at any hardwher store but im not telling you what you need just where to get it

the most efficient weapon to have a silencer is not a pistol. through trial and error the ideal silenced weapon is the shotgun, with slight modification of course. so wrap your mind around that.

Contrary to popular belief silencers and surpressors are not illegal. It actualy takes less paperwork to obtain one than buying a car. There great for hearing protection as well I've been shooting for sport and hunting for twenty years, I wish I would have had one sooner

Silencers are not illegal in many many areas and are necessary for lots of good reasons. You think that having silencer is for doing bad things take note that it isnt even 1 percent of gun crimes that utilize a silencer,

they are legal, your better of buying one that you now will work, there are several guns shops that sale them, and the the papper work(it cost another $200) but it will be legal and you wont get locked up for 10 years for doing it. yeah I know its bs and we should be able to have them for what ever reason we see fit, but its better to do it the right way and stay legal, and most of all SAFE

the atf is law enforcement not law makers...but our constitution was shreaded long ago. they are judge jury and exicutioner...trust me on that.
silencers (contrary to hollywood) only silence sub sonic ammo. if shot with high velocity ammo it suppressed muzzle blast but not sonic crack, and even tho the shot is heard, would be hard to know where it came from, ie giving a military sniper multiple shots. and for the ignorant girl in the thread. in many countries they are legal and even expected at firing ranges.
criminals dont use them cause if a criminal was smart enough to your in trouble anyway and a fed law wont stop him. amazing how we can have machine guns and silencers, you just have to pay big bucks to make big brother happy
