How to make dark hair lighter?

Hey,
My hair was about 3 colors (blond, brown, darkish brown) so I decided to to a salon and get it one color. I decided to get it back to my natural brown hair (which is a light brown color). The problem is it came out WAY too dark brown, almost...

black looking. I went back to the same salon and they washed some of it out, it lightened up some...but it is still way too dark. It has been 3 days, are there any tips to make it a little lighter? I really really hate the way it looks right now... Please give me tips! It does not look natural at all.
I don't want to go back to the same person again and bug them. When will it get lighter? Do you think I should go to another salon to have them lighten it? It will cost a lot but it just looks terrible on me...

I heard something about mayonaisee. Im not sure if thats to make it smoother and shinier or lighter tho, you might want to reasearch that a bit.

Maybe you could go down to the beach for a few days in a row. The sun might lighten up your hair a bit and the salt water is bound to do something.

Or maybe you could put a few blonde foils, that way it'll look like it has lightened up.

first of all go outside on a sunny day and put lemon juice in your hair I know it sounds crazy but I works. (:

try using a lightening wash. they have these things called washes that make your hair a few shades lighter or darker or redder or whatever you want. look into a light one.

u could bleach your hair... or just go to the beach with lemon juice in your hair and lay down on your stomach with your hair on your back in the sun for a few hours, plus you would get a tan!
