also when blow drying your hair, use a big round brush for the bangs and just like when you're straightening them, start of straight, then kinda curl the end around the brush...
when straighting them go from the top
then when your at the end go out a tad like kinda curl in under
it takes the shape of your face and keeps them there for a while
Believe me I have them...!
To add to the advice already given- You kind of have to train your bangs to the side swept look. Just like you have to train your hair to a new part! Pull your bangs to the side you want them and pin them with a bobby pin for a week or two! After awhile your bangs will get used to falling to that side, and they will begin to look better!

one thing to do is when you get out of the shower take the bangs and put them to the opposite side of where you straighten them and then blow dry them..when they are dry comb them to the other side...this usually works for me

I've been to the salon many times to get my haircut. Everytime I ask to get short side swept bangs. They never turn out right. When I starighten my hair they go tooo flat and look like crap. I dont know what or how to do it right...
