How to get soft hair?

How do I get my hair to be soft again? It use to be sooo soft and its still very very thick but Im afraid I have fried it by dying it too much. I am going to stop dying it but are there any home remedies that does not cost money to fix this problem of...

eggs yes eggs next time you shower crack 2 eggs in your hair sience it is so long and thick I would do 3 do this and you will see a differnce right away if your hair is as bad as you say do it like 3 days in a row. hope this helps
