How to earn my ferret's trust?

So it took me over a week since I got the ferret to get it to trust me and follow me and everyone else around.

I've had her for nearly 2 months now. And today, she seemed scared. She didn't come when I call and she actually tried to avoid me and ran...

away from everyone. I think she is traumatized (I think my brother kicked her even though he swears he didn't). :'( please help.

I have the same problem with one of my dogs, and a bird who tries to attack me.. haha can someone help me also?

ferrets have a lot of personality. are baby one just turned one recently and she still gets a littke skiddish and doesnt always come when called unlike our older one who is 4. ferrets take time to fully relax. our older one loves ferret clothes, walks on his leash, and hanging out in his puppy purse but the baby wants nothing to do with any on them. she may when she gets older though.

get a squirrel call merriemac- the kind that has the rubber bellows hanging down beneath it- plastic or wooden barrel on top.

my friend had 2 ferrets and they were really full of energy and liked to play , I had my squirrel caller and I dropped it- well the ferrets came over to investigate it and began playing with it. I picked it up and they ran off- I shook it and it made its noise and they came running like a flash. a while later my friend was remodeling her house and the ferrets got into the walls- she was freaking out trying to figure out how to get them out- I got my squirrel call- shook it to make the noise - and they came right out- emergency solved by the squirrel call.

maybe your ferret will respond to a squirrel call, and it may help her to bond more with you- let her hear it, let her play with it, maybe she will come around.

As long as you give your fuzzbutt lots of love she will come around. Just make sure everyone else is treating her with love and care to and you just have to be patient.
