How to become a wiccan?

Heyy, I want to become a wicca but I don't know how. Can someone please tell me how to become a wicca because, like I woke up 2 days ago wanting to become a wicca because I had this dream bout becoming a wicca feeling the power and magic thru mah body. I...

Research it on the web. And the reality will most likely be NOTHING like your dream...

a wiccan worships the earth and the goddess, there is no magic, its just appreciating the nature and goodness around you. there are ceremonies and other things like that but no real magic.
if you want to feel magic, fall in love. thats probably the closest things human beings have to magic.
besides telekinesis, you could research that and try to train your brain to become a telekeneitc. but I doubt it will happen.

First of all, it's a Wiccan, not a Wicca.

Wicca and Witchcraft aren't toys, and it's nothing like Sabrina. It's a real religion for people who are serious about it.

Yeah you cannot suddenly just wake up and think yeah today I'm going to be a wiccan. It doesn't work like that. I am a pagan and was part of a Wiccan community, however I dropped it to concentrate on my exams but there will always be a little bit left of it in me, it is a faith and like people have said before me it is not magic. first of all, wicca is a religion and lifestyle. it's not something that you just do, it's who you are. you don't just suddenly wake up and make that decision. I hate the kinds of people that just do it for kicks.

first all get as much info as you can got you your libary and get all the books you can but not really spell books more like books that explain the elements and what they bring to this life and after you have stated in the next year on the full moon you can have a deication were you spend a year and a day studying under the protection from the god and godess this year is all about study and trial and error and to see if this is what you want and who you r if not no harm no foul to you or anyone else if you do it properly. with your magick and start your spell book but first ask your elders if it is ok if not you should not go a head with it but there are closet wiccans

I think a lot of folks on here are being way too negative. Waking up feeling that way sounds to me like you're being called toward something new. Yes, by all means, research Wicca, and see if it's the right path for you. The internet is a great and terrible resource, if you know what I mean! There are some great things, but do be aware that there is a lot of crap too. Book-wise, you'll find the same thing. I actually think, odd as it sounds, the Complete Idiots Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft. You'll find the basics in there.

As for their not being any magic, forgive me, but I respectfully disagree with that post. I have been a practicing Wicca for 8 years, and there have been moments of pure magick and power for me as I have stood within a circle. The connection to the God and Goddess, and the welcoming in of the forces of nature can leave me feeling abuzz with energy. I'm certainly not the only one! Wiccans acknowledge energy, or lifeforce, or Chi, or the Dao, or whatever you want to call it. We all have a divine spark within, and the fact that you've already felt it means that you feel your own divine connection. There is real magick, and many Pagans practice it.
