how to avoid period stomach aches

It really hurts during first 2 days, I can’t do anything. no sports, yoga, or medicine helps. I’m age 18. it’ s been like that for ages. my gynecologist even can’t help me. do you know some ways to avoid it?

go to your regular doctor I had the same problem. dont drink cold water and drinks that help me a lot.. my period was so bad I couldnt even go to school or do anyhting I use to just stay in bed until it done..my doctor prescribed me these pills OMG they are miracle I dont feel anything anymore..I can do watever I want now and dont have to worry about cramps…please talk to your doctor I know how you feel…

You’ll need to stay fit in between periods and actually try and excercise during the time you have those pains. (I had the same problem - I know it is really painful but it works)

If you’re gynecologist can’t find anything wrong, then it isn’t anything to worry about, so excercise will be your best prevention method.

Furthermore avoid using tampons (if possible) during the first 2 days of your period, tampons can actually cause cramping to worsen.

Oh and another thing…go get yourself a magnesium supplement…if you get cramping that bad…it is usually a sign that you need some magnesium. Use extra of it during your period…it is a natural way to alleviate the cramps

And then just use midol/ibuprofen and a hot water bottle and maybe ask someone to give you a lower back massage to ease the pain

There isn’t a lot you can do to avoid it - some women are just unlucky in this case, but there are things you can do to help alleviate the pain.

-heating pads -eat lightly -elevate the legs -warm baths -pain relievers

At any rate, you just have to accept that’s there’s going to be a few days out of every month where you’re just unable to function normally - you’re not alone in this.
