it depends on how good or long you being knowing this person and if she'll let you come live with her I don't think you have to be a special age to do so you dam near grown.

ok, I moved out when I was 16, on reflection, I probably didn't need to.

what's bothering you about your mum and your dad? do you have any siblings?

you can moce out in the UK at 16 IF your mum and dad consent...other than that, I think until 17 they have the right to cal the police and get you brought back, not that many parents would do that...

but you should be able to move out, I would be most concerned (as a parent) about you moving in with a 'lady friend' I would be worried that A) how will you support yourself? B) what HER motives are and C) why would you swop your home with another home. you wil still need to do chores (more so probably) except you will have to financially be independent too...

how long have you known this lady?

I think you need to really consider your motives for moving out and how you're going to be on your own...

        i hope you do not take offense,
        To that that comes hereafter;
        'Tis only that it's my two-cents,
        Not one penny more thereafter. §;o)

Google your state's laws on age of majority. It is probably 18, in which case you would need written permission from one of your parents in order to live with her AND she would need a limited power of attorney in order to authorize medical care for you if you became sick or injured.
