Hey Just FYI it took the Mormons about a year for the first group to get from Nauvoo, Illinois to Salt Lake City. It took about another 2 to 3 years for the rest of the Mormons to get across the 1300 miles of land. If that helps you or you have any other LDS questions please ask I would like to try and help.
