I've been on 60mg citalopram for 7wk so far.
opinions seem to vary from 1wk to 3 mths!

Dear geriann,
This drug typically works anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 or more weeks. If you are not seeing any results within this time see your doctor. Medications such as these begin with trial and error. It may take several tries to get the proper dose for you.

yeah I'm finding it difficult to get the right med's to help me.
I was on prozac...varying from 20, 40, 60mg.
then I was put on the citalopram...varying from 20, 40 and now 60mg.
