How long can a skyscraper last?

How long can a skyscraper such as the Empire State Building naturally last. I mean without terrorism, global warming, nuclear war, earthquakes, tsunami’s and stuff like that. How long could it naturally last, for an average skyscraper. 500 years? 1000 years? Million years? Billion years? Also forget about the Sun going Red Giant in 5 billion years or the Big Crunch or the Big Freeze. Assume no natural or man-made disasters. How long could a normal skyscraper last. Could it last forever in ideal conditions?

Answer #1

Without constant repairs, 10 years. Same witch anything we build from bridges and towers to well, anything thats not completely made of plastic.

Answer #2

After watching about a million “after we’re dead” shows on the discovery channel, I found that they’ll probably last about 500-1000 years.
