How do you stop binge drinking?

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to stop binge drinking? I only drink one or twice a month but when I do I do it to the point where I almost die. And I want to stop it.

ya I had that problem, well still do. I honestly think I should be dead from alcohol poisoning. Don't let people pressure you into drinking more than YOU KNOW you can handle. Thats what alway's got me, because I can pound a bottle of vodka, and people alway's want to see it. the best advice is to drink slow. You start pounding em right off your going to get a nice buzz, then your just going to keep on drinkin. I realized that. So keep it slow, if the buzz hits you all at once you won't be able to stop yourself from drinking more. I seriously had the same problem since I was 13, I could not control myself. Im almost 21 now and just recently got it under control

have a plan before you go to a party or start drinking, share this plan with more than one friend and make them know that no matter what you say you want to stick to your plan.
