hold down alt first, next press 3 on the num pad, let go of 3 and after that let go of alt :) The other numbers make different symbols if you do the same thing with them :) ☺ ☻ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ • ◘ ○ or if you are on facebook type ♥ hope that helped :)

sorry for the double post, what you type on facebook is “& hearts ;” but without the spaces or quotation marks :)
