how do you figure out your GPA? I mean whats the formula to it & I’m in middel school help please and thank you

Answer #1

first you add all of your grades.

Ex english A = 4

math A =4

science C =2

Elective A =4

reading B =3

Elective C=2

18

6/18=3.00=GPA

Answer #2

Depending on if you know how to do your work or not and keep up with you grades. If you always get good grades there should be no doubt in your mind that you have a nice gpa. If not , then you have trouble on your hands.

Answer #3

g1=grade for 1st course (usually A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0) g2=grade for 2nd course ( “ “ “ “ “ “ ) etc. c1=number of credits for 1st course c2=number of credits for 2nd course etc. then (g1c1) + (g2c2) + (g3*c3) + … (stop when you run out of courses) = POINTS and then c1 + c2 + c3 + … = TOTAL CREDITS finally POINTS / TOTAL CREDITS

[ just in case, in the above lines ‘ * ‘ means multiply and ‘ / ‘ means divide ] e.g. an ‘A’ in a 4 credit chemistry class and a ‘C’ in a 1 credit chem lab = 3.60 GPA while ‘C’ in a 4 credit chemistry class and an ‘A’ in a 1 credit chem lab = 2.40 GPA

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

You can figure out your GPA for the current year by looking at your grades on your report card. Usually (for most school systems) each letter grade has a point value. If you’re enrolled in honors or AP courses, they have a different point scale (usually a point or a half point higher than normal classes).

To figure out your cumulative GPA (meaning for all four years of high school), you’ll have to look at a copy of your transcript or talk to your guidance counselor.
