How do you feel about piercings and tattoos?

I know some people feel uncomfortable when they see them, do you? (I'm planning on getting pierced and maybe tattooed either way)

no!! Theyr awsom!!! people look at them a lot because they see you as a strange person! But the reality is they think your kooll!! My parents didn't want me to get my lip pierced.(snake bites).. They say I'm to young for that and that maybe when I'm older I'll make my own decisions... LOL but I talk to them and they say I could get them for chirstmas!! LOL plus I'm in swimming at my school so I have to wait!! LOL I'm a guy.. and I'm 15 btw...

hmmm well if you have too many then it just looks nasty but a nose peircing toung peircing and or bellybutton is ok but others are just, well... and tatoos are ok but just not too many

I think they're fuckin' awesome (most of the time) xD hahaaa

All I have is piercings though atm and I have more then 20... (lost count) haha but I get some really odd looks and some negative comments but meh its who I am and what I like... But I get compliments to and thats great =]
I'm getting my first of many tattoo's in December and I honestly can't wait...

But when I see others with piercings or tattoo's my opinions vary a lot lol... Like:
I hate when I see/know people who get stupid meaningless stuff tattoo'ed on them...
I even like scarification (depending on the design it can look REALLY nice)
Branding is okay (sometimes I hate it sometimes I love it).
And piercings I love pretty much anything but sometimes people go overboard (like spacing your lip and having a plate there - I find it soo nasty...)

When it gets excessive and you have tattoos and piercings covering your arms, whole body, etc., then it's just disgusting and hideous.

But there is nothing wrong with a couple of small tattoos and 1-2 ear piercings.

piercings are fine in my opinion but tattoos are nasty they involve a lot of needles and they never come off and nothing good ever comes out of them I always got told if you want a tattoo draw it on yourself with a permant marker or something...you'd regret getting a real tattoo I got told that from my dads worker who had a lot of tattoos he said they hurt really bad too and it was hard for him to find a job

There's absolutely nothing wrong with piercings/tattoos. They're perfectly fine. Piercings/tattoos don't make you any more or less attractive than you already are and they're far from nasty/gross. You can easily still get a job if you have them. Several places hire people with piercings/tattoos whether their visible or not. If you are worried about any of them hurting, don't be. The pain will depend on what your personal tolerance level is but I promise it'll never be unbearable. A lot of people are very over dramatic when it comes to things like this. Piercings/tattoos are nothing more than forms of body art/self expression and are absolutely fine and won't cause any problems as long as they're done professionally and properly taken care of. You have nothing to worry about at all. If your planning on getting tattoos/piercings go ahead and go for it. It's your body so it's your choice. No one else had a say so. If someone else doesn't like it, oh well. It's none of their business. It's your life and you can make your own choices. Have as many piercings/tattoos as you want and don't worry about what others think. People who judge others just because they have piercings/tattoos are idiots. There's nothing wrong with having them at all. People shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and actually take the time to get to know someone before they judge them.
