Asked by fau 2 months ago, 8 answers.

Does roman catholic consider to as christian? I'm not a catholic but I'm interested to know about it cause my english lecturer says that 'we do not consider catholic as a christian?' and my friend who is a catholic was really shock about it? I know that...

Here's the thing. This is open ended and you can consider any Bible Believing people as Christians. However There is a distinction between Roman Catholics and Christians because Christianity is a pure belief in the sense that it builds upon only one belief system(Judaism that has had the Messiah prophecy fulfilled)
and Roman Catholicism is impure as it is a mixture of Christianity and Pagan Idol worship of Dagon The Fish god. I know this will raise some eyebrows but check into it before you comment back. In the catholic Bible the 10 commandments are changed to exclude Idolatry as a sin and the last commandment is split in two to keep the number of commandments at 10. This is done so that people can pray to Mary and the saints instead of to God Through Jesus as is explained in the book of Hebrews.
People also claim that the first Pope was Peter. This is erroneous and misleading. The passage In Matthew 16:13-17 states 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”[c]

14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.”

15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah,[d] the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John,[e] because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’),[f] and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell[g] will not conquer it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.

When he calls Peter the rock he is referring to the meaning of his name as well as addressing him. Jesus was not anointing Peter as he did not Use oil or lay hands upon him to bless him. The rock Jesus was referring to was the truth That Jesus was the Christ the son of the living God.
Another reason why I say that Catholicism added in the pagan practice of Dagon the fish god worship, is because the Pope wheres the fishermans ring. This as I know is a weak argument but an interesting point. Many people believe this is so because of The Apostle Peter being a fisherman himself. But as stated before Peter was not Anointed into any such position by God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit or the early church.

I hope this at least clarifies why some people consider Catholicism a form of Christianity while others do not.

You do know that protestantism came AFTER catholicism right? So to say catholics are not christian is pretty stupid...

I do not consider roman catholics christians. Most of their beliefs are nowhere mentioned in the bible.

A pope was never mentioned

You should ONLY confess your sins to Christ

Why pray to mary? She didn't save us from hell

Why pray to saints? they didn't save us from hell

Why can't priests get married? Christ himself said that marriage is a gift from God.

And the list goes on

I consider ANYONE who believes that belief in Christ is the only way into heaven to be a christian...

I will leave it up to you 'REAL' christians to pass judgment on other christians and their belief system. It seems that only you 'REAL' christians have the inside scoop on what constitutes a 'REAL' christian.
It must be great to have the ability to judge who is worthy of heaven and who should go to hell and STILL think that you are the worthy...

As a nonchristian, the way I identify Christians, is that they tell me they are Christians. If that's what you call yourself, than that's what you are.
