I will use these numbers as the example data: 10, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2

range- the difference between the highest and lowest number in the data. Ex: 10-2=8. the range is 8.

median: the middle number. write all the numbers from highest to lowest in order, and then find the middle. if 2 numbers occupy the middle space, you find the average of those. Here, it would be 7 because 8 and 6 were the middle, and thats the average of those numbers. (I will explain how to do average, too)

Mode: the number that occurs most often. Here, it would be ten because it shows up twice.

Mean: also known as the average. TO find this, you add up all the data and then divide it by how many numbers of data there are. Here, you would ad up...10,10,8,6,4, and 2. this equals 40. there are 6 pieces of data, so you divide 40 by 6 to get the average and mean, which is 6.666

Area of a trapezoid: Area= a(b1 + b2 divided by 2)
b1 and b2 are the lengths of the 2 bases. A is the altitude of the trapezoid.

ways to remember these:
MeDian- sounds like middle, only one with a D
mode- has an O, for occurs most often
mean-has an A for average
