How do I stop being a chronic schizophrenic?

I've been having chronic schizophrenia for about 10 years now. And its caged me into my home without works, friends, hobbies, or studies... I've effectively become a total loser. Medication never worked. Its either it sedates me into an unthinking, unfeeling zombie-like state of sleep for 23.5 hours a day, or that I get delusions of people harassing me for everything I think, do, feel, or socialise with. The only time I don't have delusions are if no one is around. I feel different vibes from people that are not there, body language and actions that people do that are not there, hear words that were different from what was being spoken, feel things that are not there. I've had them harassing me for every thought in my head, every word or thought that I think of. It emplifies completely everywhere, no matter where I go. If I do anything that isn't 100% professionally perfect in anything I do, that even means washing the dishes, moping the floor, doing housework, communicating with people, presenting myself, studying, anything under the sun (or moon). If its not doing completely perfect, in the time deadline, I'm totally screwed.

Is there anything I can do?

First of all Id like to Say That Im Terribly Sorry about Your Condition.
My Best Friend also Suffers from Schizophrenia,And I Understand how harsh the Medicine for it Can be.

My Best Friend Switched Her Medication Once, and She Told me it helped her a lot,and Didnt make her feel like a Zombie.
But If Your trying to Stay Away from Medication,Try Therapy .
((Induvidual,Family,or Rehabilitation))
Rehabilitation Might also help with your Social Life. But Im not so Sure Youd want to be locked up,either.
So Maybe a Support Group is what You Need?
Your Local Clinic May Know of One.
Are you On Medication Now?
I wouldnt advise not taking it,It could make things worse in the long run,See a doctor before you stop taking it

good luck with everything, and I hope it all works out

Dear rivera,
Go back to your doctor and get tested again...you may be suffering from something other than schizophrenia. You may have a duel condition. This is the first place to start and then go from there...they may change medications, find an appropriate therapist for your condition. Your descriptions really sound like you have other conditions that need to be addressed.
Sue...good luck
