How do I know what hand to play guitar with?

Ok I have been playing righty ever since I stated and im starting to realize that my left hand works a hell of a lot better on the frets than the right
The only problem is:
I cant strum with my right hand
Seriously it sounds like captain hook got his hand stuck in the strings...

you're usually supposed to strum with the hand you write with and use your other hand for the frets. so actually you've been playing LEFTY, not righty.

strumming with right hand= righty
strumming with left hand=lefty

if you've already learned it lefty (strumming with your left hand) then it would probably be easier to stick with that.. but if you feel more comfortable with your left hand on the FRETS, then just keep practicing it that way and you'll gradually get better with strumming with your right hand.

play whichever way is easier, I would look like a retard if I used my left hand to strum lol but im good at using my right, then again im right handed lol so which ever you think works better
