How do I get my bird to eat healthy foods?

the beatles Asked by iamcool 18 days ago, 2 answers.

I have an almost four months old peachfaced lovebird who insists on eating really odd things! He eats all his seed, but he also enjoys dry rice bubbles ( but not cornflakes ), tea, ( but not coffee ) and potato chips, just to name a few. We don't let him eat too much, becaues it'll make him fat, but he just can't get enough. My last bird, ( same breed ) ate all these things, but she also loved garlic, capsicum, apples, and oranges, all of which ( plus heaps more ) this bird refuses to eat after the first bite. What can I do to make him eat what's good for him?

Rice is bad for him isn't it it makes them swell up and pop fom the inside. It expands and if it has any it will kill him. NO more rice.Give him what you think is healthy or take him to a vet.
