How come some people blame god for their problems?

How come some people blame god for their problems?
I know I don't run into that very often but, it seems that people should lean on god to help solve problems. What do you all think?

I have no problem if they also laud god for their successes.

can I answer with a question? why do people lean on god when something bad happens instead of looking into themselves for the strength to carry on? people believe they need something to blame so they dont have to answer to their own mistakes or their personal weakness at handling a situation

they just want someone to blame. people think that for example if someone is terminally ill it is god's fault... because god is meant to help everyone in their time of need...

I hate that.

my boyfriend always says- why do you blame God when something goes wrong, but forget to thank him when things are going right.

I think people would rather blame someone for their problems, rather than look at what caused the issue to begin. Because if you get to the core of the problems, it will most likely cause you to say, What did I contribute to all of this? Most people don't like that thought.

Cause they are ignorant.

It shows a weakness in character. Just like blaming the devil for your faults.

I guess it makes them feel better about themselves. they always need to blame someone for their problems.

When someone blames God for a problem, especially if it is a work or relationship problem, ask them what was their part in the situation.

I dont beleive in any god
but some poeple need someone to rely on, some one to anwer all there unanswered questions, something to explain everything, and something to blame for everything as well
if people beleive in god they not only see him as the answer to all there problems
but also the cause of them
you cant beleive in something if you dont blame it on things as well
and some people need something like a higher power to turn to
someone to thank, and somethone to blame for everything thats happening
I on the other hand thinks its all just a bunch of crap
and thats my opinion

they belive that if God is our father than why would he allow that stuff. They dont want to accept the answer in the bible. Im not christian but thats why.

If you view all of creation as the work of a god, then that god is responsible - directly or indirectly - for everything in that creation. It's not very complicated.

everything happens for a reason the bible says that there will be famine,disease and destruction by national desasters etc. and people will die from them, no one wants it to be themselves or someone they love but everyone has to go sometime and we all hope for a pleasant ending where we just die in our sleep but that rarely happens and look at what we learn from these diseases and famine and disasters etc. it teaches us, and hopefully teaches more of us to find god and want to live to serve him.it is easy to blame god for these things because he is not here in the flesh and I think sometimes the people that curse and blame him would not do it to his face if he was.you know though we all get made and question god or blame him when we are in a certain state of mind over devistation,loss, etc. but thankfully we have a forgiving god that we can always go back to and ask for forgiveness and if we truly mean it he will always forgive.
