How can parents deal with children with sensory integration disorder?

One day at a time,lots of patience . We are using a weighted backpack (much cheaper than a weighted vest to bring him back to earth) you can make weighted blankets very easily if they need one. depending on what state you live in you should be able to get some kind of therapy for your child depending on how old they are. mine is really young, so they qualify for a program until they turn 3. then it turns into a school program until kindergarten.. There is also a brush technique to rub the brush over the childs body and do deep body compreshions to stimulate the nervous system. There are other techniques to but its what a doctor recommends best for you and what to of sensory issue your child is dealing with
