Basmati rice is my favorite, I assume that is the kind of rice you are preparing since you are from India.
Rinse the rice very well before cooking. Rice cookers are a good investment. In general with rice cookers use 1.5 cup of water for each cup of white rice or 2 cups of water for each cup of brown rice.
Never stir rice while it is cooking; don't even take off the lid until it is done. When it is done fluf it up with a rice paddle.
do fried rice... add very small pieces of beef, chickon or other meat.. you could try puttin vegetables such as swetcorn, pears, olives etc in it with / without meat. it really is up to you to test your own tasebuds with your creations, let us know how you get on and you never know.. you could statrt a whole new craze on rice lol

The japanese know something called 'Furikake', which is a crispy mix of sesame,
rice-cakes, fish flakes and seaweed, tea, eggs, dried roe, etc.
You can buy it in asian supermarkets.
You can also make it yourself:
* Dry a can of tuna (canned in water, not oil) in a pan until damp
* Add a minced omelette and continue drying
* Add toasted sesame, salt, lost of sugar, maybe some MSG
* Dry until almost no dampness remains
Use like a condiment on cold rice (japanese-style rice is best for this)
