Some people just aren't good at math, sorry. The only thing you can do is practice doing all of those homework problems... and more. Twice. I don't know what kind of math you have, but it's usually easier to understand a concept after you've done the problems. So go back to the reading after you've done the problems, and then do the problems again - this time with those concepts in mind.
Not sure if you could actually learn to love math. I don't think I ever liked it, but it was part of life.
i think the fact that you want to be good at it and learn to like it shows a lot. all you can really do is pay attention, practice whatever problems your given..stay after school and work with your teacher so he or she can help you better understand the subject..
there are also tons of different subjects in math
statistics
algebra
basic math
trigonometry
calculus
Math can be a fascinating subject but sometimes I think that math courses do everything they can to make it as dull and boring as possible.
One book I really enjoy is Mathematics for the Million/How to Master the Magic of Numbers by Lancelot Hogben. It puts a lot of mathematical concepts in a historical context and explains historically how and why they came about. While not an easy read it does make mathematics more interesting.
