How can i convince my parents to let me get a myspace?

My parents wont let me get a myspace. im 14 and I need a way to convince them.

get it and then ask them and then let them see it to make sure uts safe

The best way is to allow them into your myspace for a while. Invasion of privacy I know..
But it's the best way.

Let them have a check of your profile every week or something, show them you're responsible enough for one. And please, for the love of God, if you do get one, tell your parents if something doesn't seem right with a user.

The only thing they want is to know you're responsible enough for one. Offer to let them look at it.

do they know that u can put security settings on it? or u can make one secretly or have ur friend make one 4 u. You can turn off the e-mail alerts too if u dont want them seeing u read the e-mails (freind requests, comments, etc.)

Ask your parents the reasons why they won't allow you to have Myspace. Then tell them why you would like it. Maybe come to a middle ground, but i'm guessing your parents realise what can go on, on the net. You'll be a child in an adult word on there. I can't blame them really, been there done it.

I didnt even ask my parents if i could get it.. i just got it. but i talk about it all the time to my mom and she doesnt even care. all i have to say is if they really wont let you get it. Just go get it. and delete your history. lol

let them know that 14 is a perfectly reasonable age to be getting a myspace because its the first age listed under the box that asks how old you are.
then tell them that you'll put up every privacy setting available, even show them.
talk to them about how you know not to give away any personal information online and even let them check your profile and friends for the first few weeks until they're comfortable with the idea. and most important is that you respect their wishes in the end. its worse if you disobey them and they find out, because then they'll be even more reluctant to let you do things like that in the future.
