because I've never seen you act I can't comment specifically on your ability.
however, here are aynrand's 8 basic acting tips.
1. take a class, and then, take another class. find any available acting classes you can and take them, and then, take some more. the only way you will get better is by learning and the only way you learn is by doing it, doing it, doing it. go to every possible audition you can, and, when you go to an audition, learn from everyone else you see walk up onstage to read. you're always learning, to always get better.
2. when you go to an audition, know in your heart that you are talented and exactly what they want, but don't treat others that way. (as in, acting like you're better than them - huge no no.) what directors want to see in a lead is someone who is totally confident in who they are and, because of that, able to be NICE. there are more than enough annoying and mean people in the world, no one wants to work with a diva.
3. whenever you get the chance, at classes, with directors, etc, ask questions.
4. read plays. this is a huge one. the more you read, the more familiar you are with lots of different playwrights' work. it makes you more confident in the situation of a cold read.
5. practice cold reads. take out something you've never looked at before and begin to read it out loud. use your audition etiquette there at home. don't apologize for your mistakes. try to include character, look up often, and talk in full phrases.
6. always understand that how matter how good you are, there are always politics involved in every casting decision. the director may have promised someone the part, or know that they prefer to work with them. no matter what, now they know your face. if you're asked to do a part, take it. then the director will know you, and hopefully, next time, the politics will be on your side.
7. understand that so much of acting is disappointment and you are very likely going to get hurt a lot. and, the more you try for, the greater the fall will be if you don't get it.
8. most of all, LOVE every minute of it. if you're not enjoying it, PLEASE don't be an actress. always, always, always, do what you love.
I hope this helps. sorry I can't say anything more finite, but as I said before, I haven't actually seen you.

How can i be a better actor?
Well, I'm never happy with my acting skills. I want to be in a school play, but I'm sure I wont get a good part, because I've noticed my talent at it dropping.
Is there any good acting tips you can think of?
