Hood piercings?

I'm wanting to get a vertical hood piercing, but kinds scared of whether it hurts or not, I've had my tongue pierced, my navel, and my cartiladge. So if it doesn't hurt worse than those I'm good. Thanks Ahead of Time!!!

Sorry 'meganhead' but all those things are completely false. Love your advice but... all those things are myths. I have mine done.
Definitely not painful.
I have one and its the most amazing thing. I highly recommend it.
And the whole '6 weeks' is a myth, it only takes like a week to heal.

from what I understand, piercing through cartilage is the most painful, but genitals are very sensitive... you can't have sex for 6 weeks after you get it done. also, you make want to have a few days away from public eyes after you get it done. I've heard of woman having orgasms just from shifting their weight or walking while they are getting used to it.

I was standing next to the girl with the piercing guy told her not to have sex for 6 weeks. everything else is from what other people have told me, so they might be wrong.

that's what I've read...thanks for the advice...just wanted to know from people who have it done. Compared to my tongue or belly button what do you think??

Hurts less then a belly button piercing. I don't know about tongue, I don't have it pierced.

Hey megan head I have heard the same thing from someone who has had it done?? Maybe its diferent from person to person.

I totally agree with stephanief897. I have mine done. It is also vertical, not horizontal. I have 9 piercings, tongue, belly button, nipples, ears etc...I guarantee you that it is the least painful out of all. Nothing to worry about, take no longer than a week to heal, mine was sore for about 2 days tops.

I actually have my hood vertically pierced twice and I love it. So does my husband! I have had my tongue, belly button, and eye brow pierced. The tongue was by far the worst, next would be the belly button, next the hood, and then the eyebrow. I would do it over again too. It was sore for just a couple of days. Be careful wearing tight jeans and make sure you keep it clean! The ride home after having it done was I'll say fun!!! Surprising what vibrations from the road can do!
