Step one is getting on the dance floor. If you aren't going to do that, than nothing anyone has to say will matter.
Step two is to dance with your partner and not focus on anyone else. They'll be plenty of other people dancing and not everyone will be looking at you...so don't think you have to perform to the crowd. If your girl dances conservatively, then you do likewise. If she's crazy and doesn't care, then you shouldn't either. Just laugh a lot and it'll show anyone who may be watching that you're not taking yourself seriously.
Above all have fun and don't worry about what other people are thinking. Your date is the only one that matters. Make sure that she and you are having a good time and all will go well.

homecoming dance is tomorrow. I get kinda shy. last homecoming I went too, I didn't even dance. I just want some tips on how to let loose on the dance floor and not get nervous.
