Help with choosing friends.

Asked by courtney123 24 days ago, 2 answers.

Ok so at school I only have like one bestfriend I could trust with my life, and I have like 8 other friends.
But im not sure if I want to be friends with the other 8, because I think they're stopping me doing what I want. For example.. I want to be a...

singer when im older, and if they found out they would laugh at me. I try to fit in with them too so they wont think im stupid or anything.
Should I get rid of them and just keep my one true best friend ?
Please help.
X

true friends wouldn't hold you back they'd want to help you fufill your dreams and goals. and real friends don't judge others by calling their friends stupid. if they laugh well then maybe theyr'e not your real friends

if they're your real friends they won't laugh at you about what you really want. They might disagree but ultimately, they'll respect your decision. Maybe you can also be friends with the other friends of your bestie. As for the other 8, you can still probably hang out with them but if you feel that they hinder you in any way, I guess it ok to not be as close to them.
