Make sure your tank is out of direct light and away from windows. Sunlight is what causes it to grow! Also make sure you are changing your tank filter at least once a month and maybe even look into buying a magnet cleaner. The brush is magnetic and goes on the inside of the tank and you pull the magnet on the outside of the glass and it scraps off the alge inside. Its good for a quick nice clean.
