How can I get over my nerves to talk to a girl?

I really like this girl that sits by me in my science class. She's very beautiful smart and nice. but whenever im by her I gt really nervous and I want to have conversation with her but I don't know what to say and don't want to say something dumb/wrong. shes nice and we usually help eachother out with work but thats it and she doesn't talk to me besides that unless I talk to her. what do I do????

this is same guy who wrote ?. thought id add 1 more thing. if I became friends with her or something and asked her to a dance or movies with some friends itd b realy hard 4 me to ask. ( im terrified of failure/rejection)

Man, don't worry. I see a lot of questions like these and the trick is confidence. Don't be afraid to be yourself, and if you say something weird well thats good, its funny. Personality will get you far in the dating world. I have gotten girls WAY out of my leauge just by talking to them and joking around and being myself. Later on I developed that confidence...and if I was in your shoes and the girl is in my class helping me, having small talk here and there, I'd be talkin to her a lot more.

Don't be nervous...who would she rather talk to, somebody who has a few things to say, or somebody having back and forth talks and being funny here and there.

If you do become friends with her, then I suggest you get to a point where yall are on talkative terms to ask her to hang out. I mean like saying hello, talking a bit during class, saying good bye, and maybe even walking after class.

just talk 2 her,if you do somthin stupid or wrong shell probably find that funny,most girls love funny guys,n da guy is da 1 2 make his move 1st,if you really like her just go for it,talk about anythin,mayb shes just shy...if you ask her 2 da movies or dance,u never know until you try it..just always b really friendly and nice!!
