Is trying to kill yourself a sign you need help?

Is killing yourself two times consider you as one of the psycho's?
First I tried to cut my wrist but I survived, because I felt alone and all these problems way back from the past! I can't forget about evrything that happened, I was sexually abused when I was a child and never told anyone about it and just let it go, and after that it happened again and again and again!

that's why I ran away from my home, and start a new life again! I thought everything is over but after a few years it keeps on coming back again, like the memories from the past because of some people around me! I can't understand why these things just wont stop! that's why I tried to overdose myself!

I don't know why I feel this way, I want it to end and go on with my life, but something's holding me back?

Why aren't you in counselling? You are obviously bright enough to know you have a problem stemming from your past. Thing will repeat until you deal with them on a professional level. Most of us understand that ending things is permanent and very selfish...perhaps that is why you have the need to go on...also most of us understand that others have survived things much worse than what we are going through. If you are in school seek out the counsellor there for help, if you are not go to the clinic and asked to speak with someone who can help. Most of us need help getting over some life problems and there is nothing wrong with that...when we don't seek help then we have a bigger problem. Do the right thing for yourself and get some help.

I know what you mean raga, I use to feel like that... somedays I still do... my story isn't the same as yours but there are similarities, I've been sexualy assaulted many times, never raped but once it came pretty close, it was years ago but I still remember many details... I really don't think you could be considered a psycho, clinically depressed yes but not a psyco! If you don't feel comfortable talking to a psycologist I don't blame you, it's hard to talk. I had to when I got to a hospital, the last time I tried to kill myself three years ago... it was a psychiatrist though... you do need help, even if it,s just talking about it on the web... but you really should talk to someone you trust... talking wont make the memories go away, they probably never will but someday they wont hurt anymore... I hope you get help, nobody deserves to feel like they want to die because everytime you think about suicide a little part of you does die I think, people can't see it but you just know... if you want to email me you are welcome to, if you dont that's okay too, I don't want to add pressure to what you already have to deal with...
