Strong feelings for my friend

I have a friend who I have really strong feelings for and I don’t know what to do. I get the feeling that he has these feelings for me too, but I’m afraid to ask him. He is 7 years older than me and lost his wife to an accident a while ago. It was really strange because the night she died, I had a dream that she told me to take care of him, and that I was the only one she trusted with him. The weird thing is that I hadn’t even heard about the accident yet, I had no idea she was dead. I was really close to his wife and would never want to do anything to betray her, but my feelings keep getting stronger. I’m so afraid He will hate me if I tell him this. I told him about the dream and He was fine and He said we’d figure out what it meant but we haven’t talked about it since. I’m just so confused.

You should tell him and explain how you feel. How can he hate you? If this was in my hands, I would tell him the truth. It’s better to let it all out. But first, make sure he knows you’ll be there for him no matter what. If you guys don’t work out in the end, make sure you guys will still be close as friends. I honestly don’t think his wife would think of you as betraying her. Hope everything goes well. God bless. (=
