When I am writing an essay and I write the title of a book do I underline it or put cotetion marks like this" " I really need to know I have a paper do tommorow and I can't remember someone please tell me thank you very much for who ever helps me >-<

You put the quotation marks (and don't underline iT!)

just put the quotation marks. ' '.
don't underline it, being underlined means that statement is somewhat wrong. hope that helps.
