What's a healthy way to lose weight?

i need some advice for a healthy way to lose about 10 pounds. i've tried alot of different things that just didnt work so i need a new solution. i'd prefer to lose it in about 3 weeks, but longer is fine if necessary. im 5'2 and 160 lbs.and im 14 =/

I run every two days and basically do dit ups and push ups everynight, and I am 5'5 and 128...
and run at least 30-45minutes when you do run or you could even jog.
Running works real good, but dont over do it you could really hurt your body...

If you really wanna lose weight make sure you have your heart beat about 120 beats a minute maybe even more, depending on how much you weigh.

If you want to lose weight in a healthy way you should stop eating any trans or saturated fat foods. Go outside and jog on a low-intensity rhythm (50-70% maximum heart rate) or simply slow jogging. Do it at least 4 times a week and avoid carbs (sugars - bread, pasta , McDonalds) before bed.

What seems to work best for me to keep in shape is just the little things that you may not even think of. When you have a choice for an elevator or stairs, take the stairs, it will give you a small work out. Before you go to bed, take 15 minutes and do some sit-ups and push-ups. Thats all it takes. You're abs are one of the only muscles that you can work out everyday without taking special conditioning efforts.

What to eat is also crucial for losing weight. Don't try to skip meals or avoid eating thinking that it will make you lose weight because, #1 when you do eat, you will be more hungry and eat more than if you would not have skipped lunch, #2, you can give yourself a headache, #3 lose concentration in school or work, its just not a good idea.

Here's a mock diet that has seemed to work well for me
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit or a grain cereal (like cheerios, Special K is good, etc)
Snack: banana or some carrots and celery with low fat ranch dressing
Lunch: Tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread with fig newtons or some wheat-thin crackers
Snack: granola bar (even if it has chocolate chips in it, dont be afraid that it will make you gain weight, you need some type of sugar throughout your day)
Dinner: grilled chicken with corn, a rice mixture, or a baked potato.

People say you should eat at least 5-7 meals a day. By eating healthy, you help your body create energy. The tuna and wheat and grains will help raise your iron levels and will keep your energy up through the day so that you will actually feel like working out. That is also a problem when you just don't have the energy to do anything.
