Have you read the Fathers Love Letter, in the bible?

The Fathers Love by Andy Reese

As you slowly and prayerfully read this – listen to your very words. Everything you are now reading is straight from Scripture, straight from the heart of Papa God. It is a brief enumeration of the overwhelming evidence of Papa God’s love for you.

You, the one whose hairs are all numbered. The one whose thoughts are all known before you even think them and whose life was carefully considered before your birth. The one whom the Father thinks about more times each day than there are grains of sand on the seashore. That one. You… are His favorite.

How do I love thee? He says. Let me count the ways. The Word of God is His love letter to you. If you imagine God the Father as distant, angry, even abusive, let Him change your mind about His goodness. Let Him convince you.

Love, Your Dad, Almighty God

Yeah rite Eternallife, so you would tell a Hindu or Bushist priest in the face, that your god is his superior??? Wake up please. I would say again:

I think all of you would think of more and more far fetched explanations to Proof your delusional beliefs, the less sense it make, the more you believe it!

You live on in your fairy tale, I prefer to keep it rational and realistic!

Answer #2

So what you are saying is: According to all xtians god handled the situations in the correct way and by that place an example for all to handle it in the same way? Because That is exactly how people in the past acted, following the examples of their religions!

God does handle situations correctly. But he does not ask us to follow Him. He has given us the commandments to follow. You cannot behave like your boss. He has different powers and reasons to behave but you have to work within your perameters.

The only problem being, the writers of the bible used god as a reason to attack certain cities, because to THEM, in their minds, there couldn’t possibly any other reason to excuse such barbarism.

You are showing again and again that you don’t understand. If you read the bible it is obvious that they were not at all barbarians. They were quite civilized. Even we wage wars does that mean we are barbarians.

So what give YOUR FATHER in heaven the right to punish other people’s children and what in the world gave you or him the idea that he is the god of Budhists, Hindu’s or for that matter Atheists?

You did not read what I typed properly. There is only ONE God. We all are His creation.

Answer #3

Dont be surprised when you read this comments, some of us have something to complain for anything and everything either its good or bad. May God Bless You All! Amen. Peace, Love and Unity

Eternallife “My parents have no business punishing other people’s children. You have got an incorrect understanding of it.”

So what give YOUR FATHER in heaven the right to punish other people’s children and what in the world gave you or him the idea that he is the god of Budhists, Hindu’s or for that matter Atheists?

Answer #5

Be honest, if this were YOUR Father or parents punishing your next door neighbour like this, killing their children etc, because he is mad at the parents. Would you call that fair or plain beastly?

My parents have no business punishing other people’s children. You have got an incorrect understanding of it. God, is the God of every nation not just the Israelites. He punishes a nation for the sins they have done and He punishes them how He deems fit. In the Bible we see that usually, He punishes a nation by allwoing another to or conquer them. At times he uses Israel to punish a nation and at times he uses other nations to punish Israel. We do ot know what the sins of those nations are who were punished, because the focus is on one nation not on all of them.

Religion has actually convinced people that there’s an invisible man – living in the sky – who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ‘til the end of time! ..But He loves you.

Some weird people have actually convinced many people that there is no God and that He is actually a piece of their imagination. That He is imaginary and there are no rules to adher to and therefore we can do what ever we want. And that there is no heaven or hell and that death is the end of all.

Yet God loves them.

Come on Eternallife,

Be honest, if this were YOUR Father or parents punishing your next door neighbour like this, killing their children etc, because he is mad at the parents. Would you call that fair or plain beastly?

Or let me take it a bit further, what if the city you live in, are attacked by Xtians who received an order from god, to do all those evil things, to the citizens and perhaps your children or grand children are killed in the slaughter!
Would this still be the will of god and for you to accept his love?

Please don not give me a bible quote on this, think like a parent, thats all I am asking?

Answer #10

19. I offer you more than your earthly father ever could. This pisses me off, my father has done more for me than I can ever thank him for. He’s done more for me to the point where I could spend my entire life time trying to re-pay him and I wouldn’t be able to. What’s this question for anyways?

But you are forgetting the point that it was God who gave you such a father. Thank Him for giving you such a great father.

What silverwings typed out is what God spoke to us. What some of what you typed is God’s pronouncement of punishment on those who did wrong and some which the people of Israel did that you want hold God accountable for. You are misquoting the Bible. Its like proclaiming that a Judge is a cruel man and quoting all the punishment that he has ever awarded as judgment.

I had explained all your flaws but you don’t want to correct yourself. You will come back again in reply to someone else’s question and say the very same things. May the God change your mind and correct your flaws.

Love letter?

The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered.” O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don’t give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, “All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children.” (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

“If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst.” (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

Murder, Rape, and Pillage at Jabesh-gilead

"So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. "This is what you are to do," they said. "Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin." Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan."

"The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives. But there were not enough women for all of them. The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel. So the Israelite leaders asked, "How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead? There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever. But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God's curse."

"Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem. They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, "Go and hide in the vineyards. When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife! And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, 'Please be understanding. Let them have your daughters, for we didn't find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'" So the men of Benjamin did as they were told. They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance. Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them. So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes." (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)

David’s Punishment (Polygamy, Rape, Baby Killing, and God’s “Forgiveness”)

"Thus says the Lord: 'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives (plural) while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'"
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan answered David: "The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." (The child dies seven days later.) 2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB
