Was it right or wrong to call in sick?

Yesterday I left school early b/c of really bad muscle achs and a fever. I called work at night to tell them I probably wouldnt make it in at 6 this morning and they said to call back today, but my mom gave me some ibuprofen and I fell asleep for an hour...

and when I got up I felt fine again. I was supposed to work at 6 this morning but I still called in sick even tho my fever was down, and I feel really bad. I'm around people all day at a grocery store so I don't know if what I have/had is contagious and im scared the pain will come back or ill get sick again. I guess I'm looking for justification for calling in sick. was it right or wrong?

If you were that sick yesterday, then it was probably a wise move to take another day off just to allow your body time to heal - even if you're feeling a little better.

Don't beat yourself up about it...when you're sick, you need to rest.

I was a manager in a grocery store for 7 years, believe me when I say that if you had a fever last night and it only went away when you took ibuprofen you would not of been wanted at work. I would of told my employees to take the day off to get better. They will manage without you and now you can rest so that you don't get worse.
