Has anyone seen a ghost?

Has anybody seen a ghost before?

I have sensed a ghost, but never seen one.
A ghost to me isn't nessacarily the ghost of a person, but it could be the ghost of memory or a sense of something that happened.
I have sensed all three, and supposedly I could have been onto something in all three occasions.

We have had one in our family house for years.

Got used to him mostly but still makes you jump sometimes.

Not seen or sensed him for over 3 months now. When the builders were in for a few weeks, they kept seeing and sensing him all the time.

He is only around upstairs, never downstairs.

My family have lived in the house from new and it was built of old woodland.

My wife and I purchased the house a year ago from my sister who in turn purchased it from my parents.

Nothing has ever happened in the house to account for this and so many people have seen or sensed him with no prior knowledge about a haunting it is beyond any reasonable doubt that there is something starge going on.

But as for a ghost being the spirit of the dead that is aware of its surroundings and can communicate with the living? Well, thats an altogether different question.

My feelings about ghosts are similar to Britz reply above. I think it is like a film or a video being replayed of something that happened in the past. Hence, there is no possibility of communicating with this 'ghost' as he is a mere memory from the past being projected in the present.

After all, the active part of a video tape is made up of minerals all found quite commonly within the day to day landscape.

no personally I dont believe in ghost I believe in evil spirits like demons,,, I think that the demons do this by f***ing with people so you believe in ghost because if you believe in ghost you cant believe in god because ghost arent really the only ghost that trully exists is the Holy ghost ,,, you all may think im wrong but thats why it is a personal opinion and I respect every one elses opinion as well

not personally, but I have a friend who swears there is a spirit in her house. one area that is very cold all of the time, lights turned on in unoccupied rooms, etc. she is an intelligent woman, not prone to imagined episodes.

I agree with confusedgirl...for the most part, that ghosts are actually demons in disguise.

My daughter brought one home with her, from the place where she was working. Her job was sanctioned by the court, in a divorce case, it was her job to be a nanny to the children, because the judge thought they were not getting proper attention, with the parents fighting against each other in court. It turned out that the father was sexually abusing the children, and actually showing porn to his son. This brought demons into the picture, and one came home with our daughter. Since we were Christians and had some understanding of this, we were able to pray and rid our home of this intruder.

Another time, a homosexual young man was staying with us, and he brought one in too. It would flip the lights off and on, and cause the dog to howl. Again, prayer removed it.

Just recently, I read a post from a Christian young girl that moved back into the house that she had lived in when she was a child, and there was a ghost (spirit) that would appear to her, in the form of a young boy, he appeared very pitiful, and in need of mothering, she was pregnant at the time, and after this presence came into her home, she became very sick, it had convinced her that it was real, and actually gained her sympathy. This in order to not be removed from the premises. I have been praying for her, and for the removal of this presence, and asking others to pray too, but, unless she is convinced of what it truly is, It may not leave until she is.

Another situation that I heard of, but, have been unable to do anything about, is a dark presence that came into a young girls room one night, scaring her very badly, she went to her brothers room, and finished the night there, she told him about this, but, he did not believe her, nor did anyone else.

But, months later, she still insisted that she saw exactly what she said she did, and in fact, her whole demeanor changed. She started wearing black clothes, and wanted everything around her to be black, and she started hanging out with the wrong crowd. To me, this proves the influnce that this spirit had on her, even though she at first was scared of it. That is what a demon does, is to control a person, for its own ends. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. And sometimes he does it thru his heirachy of demons.

yes, in fact, theres one stading right next to me. she was murdered in this house and was/is about my age. she's one of my best friend.

yes/no. if you mean ghost like of an actual person that existed then I don't know.

I have seen an apparition of three people once but I am not sure if they were of actual people that existed. their eyes were dead it's scary, they didn't do anything but stare I could tell that one of them was an overpowering man. who knows if they existed -shrugs- I live in a town that used to be lively so possibly.

other time was on the queen mary where I was basically yelling in my head not to see anything and I DIDNT but as I was almost towards the end of the boat I felt a cold SKIRT brush against my arm at first I thought it was my mom but she doesnt wear skirts and she was far away from me at the time. I didn't like freak out but I was just like wow--- sick they DO exist!

never really seen ghosts but my friend had these gremlin like things in his back yard. and they were real short with blackish brown leather like skin all black eyes nimble arms and fingers. we were only close to one but you could see the rest running around in the woods. we watched them for over a month period each weekend

I've seen one about 2 years ago when I was living at my old house,
When I was walking to the bathroom, their was a black figure at the top of
our stairs I thought it was one of my sistrers but they werent that tall so I ran
to the bathroom, shut my self in, I came out about 10 minutes later and the figure
disappeared, it was so weird. I assumed it was a ghost, what else could it
be?
