Getting your fortune told, what do you think?

im 14 and when I turn 18 I want to get my fortune told. I am a christian. My neighbour ((who is like my families best frnd)) always gets hers told. I was talking to my aunty about getting my fortune told and she told me not to because I could bring bad...

upon myself. she told me she got it done when she was younger and she would never get it done again. everything the fortune teller told her came true. I talked to my uncle ((Her husband)) who is very religious and he told me that the bible says to stay clear from gypsies and fortune tellers. he said that I could bring bad spirits upon myself that will harm me and that people aren't awear of the risks. ((I believe in the super natural)) he said that the devil puts images in the fortune tellers heads and thats why they are able to see things of the future. I dont want to get my fortune told anymore but before this I always wanted to get it done. what do you think?

I've had mine done...some of it came true, but most of it didn't.

It's mainly common sense and manipulation on the part of the teller.

...and I'm not possessed by the devil, and no 'bad' has been brought upon me because of it.

I don't believe that any one can see the future

my aunty told me that aswell (shes a jahovah) but I've had mine done twice, its quite fun actually. The fortune teller wasnt a gypsie but she was psychic. She told my mum that she was going to leave her (then) boyfriend, not long later she did and she told us that our grandad father would pass when daffodills rise - the day he died I was sat on the hospital wall and around my feet were dafodills sprouting up. no bad spirits have some to me .. yet.

The Bible does say to stay away from witchcraft and fortune tellers and all things similar to it. you saying that you know that and if you go do it then you are willfully sinning. Which God will absolutely frown on you for. NOBODY knows the future. they dont even know theirs so how they can yours. regardless what anyone says ONLY God knows a persons future.

I think this christian has given good advice. I believe in God and Jesus. In the bible it says not to consult with mediums/fortune tellers. The devil uses people to speak. He only wants to kill, steal and destroy. He in cunning and clever (see the book of Genesis 1 2 ) Also read the book of 1 Samuel around chapter 28. Its best to read the whole of Samuel to see the whole story. Please seek the true God - He will answer those who truly seek him. Just listen to Him - not to men. He will speak through His Word, the bible. Praying 4 you x

as a christain you would know that we cant do that.God says all phcycics and fortune tellers will die and go to hell

No don't do it...

They do get their powers from Satan...IF you want to know your future ask God...He might show you this in a dream like he did with me...

Most things that the fortune teller says comes true because you are what you think off...once you accept what people say...everything in your lifei s gonna be drawn into that mould.
